Do not wait until death comes knocking at your door – it will be too late! The only thing you will be able to do then is to spend eternity in deep remorseful regret. This brings out the unexpected change that took place after their deaths. In this Parable there were two men – one who is just called “a certain rich man” and the other named Lazarus. The other was a beggar, who was destitute and sick. Now it was Lazarus who enjoyed the bliss of life in heaven, at Abraham’s bosom. The rich man did not expect his terrible torment in hell and by the time he knew about it, it was far too late.During his lifetime he had looked at Lazarus begging at his gate every day, and he probably had thought to himself, And now he desperately sought Lazarus’ help to alleviate his excruciating pain! And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”What an awful prospect awaits all who are unsaved!Since hell is a real place awaiting sinners, let us be most urgent to warn others about it!The outcome of this judgment will be the same for all unsaved sinners – condemnation!
Oftentimes, unbelievers are the ones who seem to be successful and enjoying all the good things in life, since they strive for riches, power, fame and fortune not caring about how they do it.There are several questions that may be asked: What will this judgment decide? It is not a human judge that sinners will have to face, but the supreme judge of all the earth. It will decide where sinners will spend the rest of eternity. God sees everything, and nothing can ever be hidden from Him.He knows every detail of your life, even your most private thoughts and concealed motives of your heart. What criteria will God use to judge the sinner’s life? Some even believe that no such place exists, and that hell is only a way of describing any horrible experience on earth. They may say, They are utterly mistaken, as there will be no reunion at all with loved ones in hell.I have met people who when confronted with the Gospel, say that they are not keen on going to heaven, because they want to be together with their loved ones in hell! The truth is that outside of heaven there can be no joyful reunion together with others who have departed. They need to know that this is where they will be if they do not turn to Christ in this life.Let this warning also be taken seriously by anyone who reads this article. After death, there are only two places that you can go to: heaven or hell. The answer to this question must be settled now, without delay.
