Seriously considering it, this will be my next phone to replace my 2 years old old Z3...will be available next Thursday according to the Clove website...Also available on Amazon UK and Germany starting from October 18....But after looking at the specs- I might as well get a Xperia X performance which has the same specs as it would be cheaper and its already out now. Lets kill the Z brand, launch a midrange X brand and few months later half revive the Z....... xz-and-x-compact-smartphones-bank-on-photo-tricks Looks like it will be one very expensive phone. The only benefit is USB type C and the extra 200mah and lighter by 3 grams. 3GB seems a little 'light on' for a 'flagship' phone ? EDIT: Interesting bit here about Sony prolonging battery life with better charging techhttps://

After all, you don't get people clicking on pages all day if all you do is talk about stuff they're not interested about. And I definitely don't read much in to previews/hands ons, especially of pre retail devices/software. I don't understand why Sony has so much trouble with the bezels.es/xperia-xz/specifications/ WEIGHT161g DIMENSIONS146 x 72 x 8.1 mm, ALKALEIDO metal DISPLAY5.2" Full HD 1080p, TRILUMINOS™ display for mobile, X-Reality® for mobile picture engine, Dynamic Contrast Enhancement. As it stands, there seems very little in the way of upgrades compared to my 2 year old Z2 to make the switch worth it. The camera seems like a massive upgrade from the Z2 though, too bad I rarely use my phone's camera. great specs though, and this shud of been their flagship phone launched early this year.Gorilla Glass CAMERA23 MP, ½.3” Exmor RS™ for mobile image sensor, Triple image sensing technology, Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, 0.6 sec Quick Launch and capture, Low-light photo: up to ISO 12800. There is a massive hole in the bigger screen premium device space for Sony. I so wish if sony could overhaul their marketing, supply and support to complement their product which are great.I really did like the design/build of the Z5P but software I found was a let down, improved with marshmallow but still not good enough. If it had official CM support I woulda kept it as a spare but it didn't at the time. The title of the article should be a dead give-away given that I doubt that they had the hardware and time to do a proper review of the phone: let's have a negative opinion BEFORE trying out.Because that will bring a few people clicking and reading. The Verge has a soft spot for Samsung phones after years of bagging Android. Will wait to see samples from a retail handset to write this off completely, but judging by Sony's dodgy camera software in previous handsets, I'm not gonna get my hopes up.Interesting.think xp and xz have overlaps and should of been one or the other.Bordering on midrange really.1080p screen (not that I think there's anything wrong with 1080p @ 5.2", but in comparison to other flagships...)small batteryno OIS – come on Sony, you should be clear market leaders in the camera department but you continue to make duds – I can't remember the last time a Sony phone camera impressed me, they're always terrible with noise and lowlight quality.SD820 – should really be SD821, unless they have a "Premium" version coming out in 2-3 monthsphysical design – looks like something from 4 years ago; lipped bezels, VERY square edges.
